Expo Speakers Schedule for GLEPE Birch Run this Saturday

We are happy to announce our speaker lineup for our upcoming GLEPE show this Saturday, April 11. We hope to see you there!

SPEAKER SCHEDULE – MAIN STAGE

9:00 – 9:30am: The Blade Runner: The Blade Runner will cover everything you need to know about choosing and using the right knives and tools for a variety of survival situations.

9:40 – 10:10am: BugOutPreps.com: Why You Must Have Bug Out; Plans Presented by Carver from BugOutPreps.com. When it comes to survival, there are no timeouts. Failure to plan ahead will cost you! Prepare for the unexpected and always strive to survive.

10:20 – 10:50am: Survival Essentials – Beyond the Basics: Hello, I’m Kaz. I am a father and survivalist. Since the age of six, I have been involved in numerous outdoor activities with my family. You could say the wilderness has been a big part of my life. Another big part of my life is my career of 16 years in the package delivery logistics industry. These lifelong experiences have been rewarding for my family. In 2008, after the economic crash, I was thrust into unfamiliar situations. It was then I decided to dig deeper into living off the land, both in being alone practicing survival by myself, and in group settings. Sharing my six years of bushcraft and survival experience may aid those along in their preparedness journey.

11:00 – 11:30am: Wolf Net Survival & Wild Med RN: Wolf Net Survival and Wild Med RN will present an overview of the new American Red Cross guidelines for hands-only CPR.We will also demonstrate the use of first aid supplies by demonstrating multiple splinting and wound dressing techniques.

11:40 – 12:10pm: Survival Stuff w/ Live Free USA: This program is a show-and-tell presentation based on 45-years of experience in packing and repacking survival packs and home emergency kits. The presentation covers important items often left-out of the survival pack. New products that can advance your survival capacity. Techniques and improvised items developed from Live Free’s programs. Special attention is given to what you should have in your pockets and in your bedside drawer to respond to unexpected events.

12:20 – 12:50pm: Ranger Firearm Instruction: The Tactical Advantage, Surviving the Aftermath of a Self-Defense Shooting, presented by Ranger Firearm Instruction.

1:00 – 1:30pm: Martial Tactical Training of Michigan: MTTM offers self-defense and in-home emergency preparedness training to ensure that you are capable of protecting yourself and your loved ones.

1:40 – 2:10pm: U.S. Coast Guard: Stationed on the Saginaw River in Bay County, the U.S. Coast Guard’s mission is to protect the coastal community through maritime safety, stewardship and security. Learn about their work with natural disasters and emergency scenarios, like water & ice rescues, flooding and states of emergency.

2:20 – 2:50pm: Michigan Prepares: The New Michigan Prepares Mobile Planning App; The Michigan Prepares Emergency Plan app is a free, easy-to-use tool that can help you and your family create a basic emergency plan in a few quick steps. In this presentation the Office of Public Health Preparedness will provide a demonstration of the app and how it can add to your overall personal emergency preparedness kit.

During the show, there will also be numerous demonstrations at a second stage every half hour. These will focus on the preparedness knowledge and products that our exhibitors are offering to our attendees.

12:50 – 1:20pm: American Red Cross – Hands-Only CPR The purpose of the American Red Cross Citizen CPR is to teach untrained bystanders how to perform hands-only CPR. Having more Citizen bystanders trained in this simple skill can help save lives by putting more cardiac arrest victims within a few steps of lifesaving assistance.

1:30 – 2:00pm: Stidham Solutions – Optech Scopes

2:10 – 2:40pm: Emergency Supply Store Long Term Food Storage. 2:50 – 3:20pm: EcoVerve
